Rev. Allie Scott joined the team as Pastor of The Family Church in July 2017. A native east-coaster, Rev. Allie lived in New Jersey, New York, and Boston before finally making it to the great state of Wisconsin in 2012. She attended Boston College, where she earned a B.A. in Theology, Music, and Spanish, and Boston University, where she earned an M.Div. in the History of Christianity and Church Music. She knows that what we sing and experience impacts what we believe, and so strives to use a variety of music, art, and other creative things into the experience of church so that all know they are welcome and can bring every part of who they are into their relationships with God. Her passion in ministry also involves community development, so you’ll often find her having coffee with other community leaders plotting to change the world.
In her free time, Allie loves gardening, playing music (she plays violin, guitar, and ukulele, and pretends to play the piano) and making things with fabric and yarn. Most importantly, she loves spending time with her husband David, daughter Sally, son Martin, and cat Zora.
